Discover Shashi Hotel: The Ultimate Blend of Tech and Tranquility in Mountain View
First Impressions
As someone who reviews hotels for a living, I like to leave all expectations out the door and come into hotels with an open mind. I prefer to let the hotel show off what its got, rather than seeking what could be so special about it. That’s how I came into the Shashi Hotel.
After about an hour’s drive south of San Francisco, I arrived to Shashi Hotel, not knowing that I was about to come across the best luxury hotel in Silicon Valley.
From the moment I strolled into Shashi Hotel, I immediately noticed how modern, tranquil, and minimal it was. It definitely has a work-centric vibe to it but doesn’t feel like a corporate hotel. It has all of the right touches. From the clean color palette, sleek lines, and well curated interior design, it immediately inspired me. I loved how serene it was but very tech-forward at the same time. Greeted with warm hellos and a seamless check-in, I felt instantly at home, excited for what was to come.
A Detailed Look at Shashi Hotel’s Luxurious Offerings
Tech-Friendly Rooms
Shashi Hotel offers contemporary rooms that serve as tranquil retreats after a long day of work or exploring Silicon Valley. You can choose from several room types:
- Deluxe King: 265 sq ft with king bed and essential amenities.
- Premium King: 296 sq ft with king bed and superior amenities.

Pictured above is the Premium King room. When booking this room, expect 100% Egyptian Cotton Sheets, plush towels, luxurious robes, cozy slippers, and turn-down service. My personal favorite was the 4K 65″ TV, where you can not only watch TV, but you can also control different parts of the room, such as the color of lighting, what types of “noises” you want to listen to, and more.
Wellness Offerings
During your stay, you can indulge in a variety of wellness offerings available at the property. From yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings to a 24-hour fitness center, a swimming pool with a jacuzzi, and a sauna/steam room, expect nothing but relaxed vibes from this boutique hotel in Silicon Valley.
For the Workaholics
Shashi Hotel offers flexible meeting rooms, co-working spaces, and event venues, including modern conference pods, the Napa and Sonoma Rooms for corporate events, and stylish outdoor patios for casual gatherings.
Dining Experience
Dining at any one of the restaurants inside the property is one of the best things you’ll do for yourself during your way. Shashi Hotel’s culinary offerings are led by Michelin-starred Chef Jarad Gallagher, so expect nothing but the best when dining at Broma, The Emerald Hour, or Carte Blanche. Here, you can enjoy multi-sensory dining experiences with complex, inspiring flavors.
The Emerald Hour
The Emerald Hour is a modern mixology bar located downstairs by the lobby. Its menu changes with the seasons to provide the freshest ingredients and innovative cocktails. Michael White is the star behind all of the cocktails you’ll be tasting here. Beyond cocktails, the bar also has a very impressive wine list.
Broma
Broma is a casual dining restaurant that specializes in Spanish cuisine, curated by Executive Chef Aubree Arndt. Alongside a curated selection of wines and hand-crafted cocktails, the culinary offerings are simply divine. I was thoroughly impressed—from the paella and jamón ibérico to the wagyu gougère, chicken croquetas, Spanish octopus, and Manila clams. Everything, when paired with cava and a selection of exquisite wines, had my jaw dropping to the floor.
Fun fact: A lot of the dish-ware that you eat your meals out of is actually created by her! You can purchase some of her pieces inside of Carte Blanche.
Carte Blanche
Carte Blanche offers expertly brewed coffee blends, breakfast/lunch menu items, and yummy pastries in an elegant café setting. The cafe itself is very inspiring to work out of, with lots of natural light shining through the giant windows.
Belle Terre
Coming in late 2024, Belle Terre promises contemporary French cuisine in a prix fixe dining experience. I’m very excited to return and try this restaurant.
