This is quite possibly one of the best restaurants in Orange County and for good reason. Hidden away yet promising global flavors paired with a curated collection of Japanese whiskies, this lavishly decorated establishment piqued both my sense of adventure and my taste buds in equal measure. All you see is a banh mi shop next door and a couple of other mom and pop Asian stores/restaurants, then low and behold when you walk through the doors of CIR Lounge, you’re completely taken aback.
Venturing inside CIR Lounge, I was instantly shocked by how posh and luxurious it was. It was nothing like you’d expect from the outside at all, making it the perfect hidden restaurant in Orange County. The decor draws inspiration from the art deco era of the 1920s, creating a stylish charm that’s both modern and timeless. I absolutely loved intimate lighting, plush seating, and the rhythmic background music setting the mood just right for the culinary journey that lay ahead.

Japanese whiskey is the order of the day at CIR Lounge, making it a must-try for spirit enthusiasts or anyone curious to try something new. My boyfriend tasted a few of their selections, and he noted that they were all fragrant and beautifully balanced. Ordering an old-fashioned is definitely a must-order when dining here. The highlight, though, (for me) was the craft cocktail collection. Mixed to perfection using the finest ingredients, each sip from my Pretty in Panama cocktail brought out a symphony of flavors that wowed me every time.

Each tapas dish was an artful union of taste, the well-sourced ingredients contributing a tangible freshness to each bite. Seriously, every single thing we ordered was absolutely divine.

It’s a fine dining restaurant, so prepared to dress up for an evening that you’ll always remember.
